Situated in a quiet newer
residential neighborhood you are a 5-minute walk to Algonquin College.
Immediately beside the College is a grocery store, drug store, a bank, and
other business including fast foods. Many of those business hire part time
employees. Within a short walking distance there is a walk in medical clinic
and dentist. Also, within a 5 minute walk is a main bus terminal with express
busses to many parts of Ottawa. Most services are within a 10-minute walk.
Carleton University and University of Ottawa are a 15 and 25-minute bus ride
respectively.
I have a large, modern, clean,
bright, back split home. Shared facilities include 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and
a rec room with cable TV. The kitchens are equipped with fridges, stoves,
microwave, coffee pots, toasters, etc. Students are required to bring their own
cooking utensils, dishes, and cutlery. All rooms are lockable, equipped with a
hi speed connection, a bed, dresser, desk and chair, and closet space. Students
are required to bring their own bedding. I have warm dry basement rooms, ground
floor rooms, and a second level master bedroom. Students may wish to bring
their own computer, small stereo, etc. Laundry facilities are available.

The term is for one year from
September 1st to August 31. Shorter terms may be available at a
slight premium. The price varies from
$475.00 to $600.00. Upon acceptance first and last months rent is due
immediately as are 10 postdated cheques from October to July. You are
responsible for any damage you may cause. Please report any damage in writing
when moving in. Parking is limited and if available is $50.00 per month.
This is not a party house. I am looking
for students serious about their studies, those who respect other student’s
privacy and rights and my property. Very likely, the same rules that applied at
home apply here.
